Kyle’s Story
High Altitude is honored to introduce you to Kyle “K1, Mally Mile” McNally. Kyle is our first featured athlete who is sharing his story of who he is and why he does what he does.
Kyle and I met about 20 years ago when he and his family moved in next door to me. He and his siblings would come over often and visit with me, my 5 dogs and my husband. At first I thought it was a little odd for a 5 year old, his brother who was 4 and his sister who was 1 at the time to want to be over my house with no kids. As time went on we forged a great friendship and I consider them my family next door.
I have since moved away but my passion for Kyle and his family lives on and I have been able to watch them all grow up into wonderful people, awesome students and talented athletes. Kyle was always active. Karate, Boy Scouts, and running. I have seen this young boy grow up into a fine athlete and man. He has an awesome family who has supported him throughout his life and athletic endeavors.
Here is where we are featuring Kyle doing what he does, living the High Altitude Life. When I asked him what his why is this is what he sent me. “I run because I love to compete. I race to win in the races I sign up for. To be a top competitor, you have to train hard and consistently. When I wake up, the #1 thing on my mind is when can I run today. And I’ll think about it all day until I do work out or run. It also makes me feel good about my body image. I like my lean, muscular build and running helps maintain that physique too.”
Kyle is a High Altitude Living rock star and I am very pleased to be able to feature him here today.
We are always looking for featured people who want to share their why here. If you are a person who is always pushing every day to be a better version of yourself, whether you run, compete, eat clean, help others, travel, do yoga, whatever drives you to be a better person please send us your photograph and a story and we will let you know if we decide to feature you here!
This post is dedicated to Kyle’s father John McNally who we lost suddenly in 2012. John boy be proud of your children, you are missed my dear friend.
